Ringtone RipperRingtone Ripper is a PC software program providing users a free, quick and easy way to turn your favorite sound files into cellular ringtones.Easy As 1-2-3 Downloading and installing this ringtone ripping software is as easy as 1-2-3. Start at the RingtoneRipper homepage and click the Download Free or Get Ringtone Ripper Now button. A File Download will then pop-up. The file is named "ringtoneripper.exe". Click Save and save it to your Desktop or some other location on your computer. To install Ringtone Ripper, just double click on the icon from the location you saved it at and follow the installation prompts. Once the installation is complete, you can find Ringtone Ripper by clicking your Windows Start button (usually in the lower left corner of your desktop), then selecting All Programs then Ringtone Ripper. Note: you may need to install Microsoft’s .NET framework before installing Ringtone Ripper. This is a free Microsoft application available at the Microsoft website. Using Ringtone Ripper Before you get started using this free Ringtone Ripper software, you should make sure your cellular service provider is compatible with Ringtone Ripper tones. Your phone must be able to accept text messages and have mobile Internet service through Boost, Cingular Blue (formerly AT&T), Cingular Orange, Sprint, Nextel, T-Mobile or Verizon. Open Ringtone Ripper and click on Select Audio File. Navigate to the music tone you’d like to convert to a ringtone, either on your PC or from your CD or other external device. Click Open. Move the red slider along the track to the part of the song or music file you’d like to start the ringtone at. Move the arrows on the Length menu item to choose the length of time you’d like the ringtone to be. Preview your sound and, if you like what you hear, click Convert to Tone. Ringtone Ripper does all the rest and stores ringtones together in a folder called My Ringtones, on your desktop. You can also click the Send to Phone button after you’ve converted the sound to a ringtone. You can send ringtones to your phone or a friend’s phone by going to the Settings menu of Ringtone Ripper.
